Your Personal Details

Travel Match Ltd and all of its operating subsidiaries including the Australian Travel Company totally respects and protects its customers and advertisers right to privacy. We DO NOT in any circumstances provide your personal details to any other third party. Although a common industry practice, we DO NOT share, resell, or distribute your personal details including your email address or physical address details with ANY other third party under ANY circumstances. Every effort is made to keep your personal information totally confidential.

 Cookies
The Australian Travel Company DOES NOT currently use cookies to gather information from users of our web sites. We believe that Cookies have become a most intrusive breach of personal privacy in gathering personal information. Whilst widely accepted now as a means of gathering information electronically, we strongly believe that the use of Cookie technology breaches the Australian Travel Company code of ethics. (A cookie is a small text file that web sites send to your computer (often clandestinely) when you are logged on to a web site, and records personal data about you and your computer). Although Cookies do not store information (or are not supposed to) of a personal nature such as credit card numbers, they are invasive and often unseen, and not therefore something we chose NOT to apply to our customers. Australian Travel Company DOES however log domain names and/or IP addresses from users of our web sites for marketing information purposes.

 Personal Information received from Competitions
The Australian Travel Company occasionally run competitions for the public. These could be subject to separate terms and conditions than Australian Travel Company normal Terms & Conditions. These special Terms & Conditions will be made known to you at the time. As part of the competition we could ask you for personal information such as your email or home address in order to contact you if for instance you won a prize. You could also be asked if you would like this information to be added to our mailing list or email newsletter list. If you provide us with this information you may reverse your decision to provide us with this information at any time by sending us an email from the email address we hold for you with the subject line showing as "discontinue".

 Personal Information received from Market Surveys
The Australian Travel Company sometimes uses a contracted third party to act on our behalf for special market research projects such as market research surveys and contest entry processing. Australian Travel Company may provide information to these third parties specifically for use in connection with these surveys and projects. The information Australian Travel Company provides to these third parties is ALWAYS protected by a Non Disclosure Confidentiality Agreement enforceable by law, and is for use only with the specific project.

 Job Applications
The Australian Travel Company will from time to time advertise employment opportunities on our web sites or in newspapers. The information we receive from job applicants is treated with utmost confidentiality and is neither shared, disseminated, sold nor provided to any party or persons outside of the Australian Travel Company group without the applicants written permission.

Please note that we can only apply our Privacy and Confidentiality Policy to web sites that we operate, including the Australian Travel Company, and to information that we receive directly from them.  Data Storage
Our administration system is entirely localised within our own firewall protected internal network. All our websites are hosted with an external provider with appropriate industrial grade firewall security also in place. Consequently there is no possibility of external internet-based file access to our internal network nor our website hosting provider. The storage and security of client data on our premises conforms to all appropriate UK & EU standards for customer data integrity, confidentiality and security.

 Data Protection Act 1998
The Australian Travel Company fully incorporates and adheres to the 1998 Data Protection Act within its business operation. The Data Protection Act contains eight Data Protection Principles. These state that all data must be: Processed fairly and lawfully; Obtained & used only for specified and lawful purposes; Adequate, relevant and not excessive; Accurate, and where necessary, kept up to date; Kept for no longer than necessary; Processed in accordance with the individuals rights (as defined); Kept secure; Transferred only to countries that offer adequate data protection.
